The traditions you were born into did not begin with you. They will not end with you. You are a link in a chain that stretches back to the first human who looked at the night sky and felt something larger than themselves — and forward to generations who have not yet been born.
The question is not which tradition is true. The question is: what story is strong enough to hold us together in the dark — and wise enough to know that the dark is not the enemy?
